Florida Transit Technician Program
The Florida Department of Transportation is proud to coordinate and administer the Florida Transit Technician Program through Lively Technical College. FTTP offers an array of quality training opportunities for agency technicians in all major systems of the transit bus. Included are instruction in air brakes, Cummins engine modules, multiplex systems, HVAC, doors, and wheelchair lifts and ramps. Input from the Florida Transit Maintenance Consortium is taken into account to determine the training offered. All training is provided at no cost to the agency or participants and meals, travel and lodging are reimbursed.
